Festive Photography Series Part 3

Hello Reader,

The holiday season is a time of warmth, joy, and memorable gatherings. As you bring your camera or phone to these festive moments, here are some tips to help you capture the magic in every frame.

Group Photos Made Easy When gathering everyone for a group photo, look for natural light or a well-lit space. Use a tripod or a sturdy surface to steady your phone or camera. Encourage natural interaction instead of stiff poses—bringing life to the photo.

Tip: Get in the picture by setting your phone on a tripod and using your phone’s timer.

Include the Little Details Holiday décor, glasses of cheer, or a close-up of a beautifully wrapped gift—these small touches tell a big story. Details bring depth to your holiday album and capture the season's essence.

Above all, enjoy the moment. The joy and love of the season will shine through in your photographs when you’re present and having fun.

I can’t wait to see the heartwarming images you create! Feel free to share your holiday photos with me! Hit reply or tag me on social media.

Happy Holidays and Happy Shooting!

Warm wishes,

Lori Battaglia

The opportunity came from attending High Point Market in North Carolina. This show is huge, the reason I wanted to attend...

January 6, 2026 Reader It is 2026 and I am ready to enter into this year with a hopeful attitude! As I look back on this past year, I’m struck by how many beautiful opportunities unfolded that I never could have predicted. They came from showing up, doing the work, and staying open. I hope you do not mind me sharing five things I truly did not see coming in 2025 — and what they reminded me about creative business, faith, and growth. 1.Licensing children’s bedding designs I never imagined...

Hello Reader, I’m thrilled to share a very special project currently unfolding in my studio — "a custom woven fabric", created in collaboration with Kindly Woven, inspired by my client’s roots in beautiful New Orleans. At the center of the design is the beloved fleur-de-lis — but reimagined as a true flower, blooming in an elegant art nouveau style. Rather than staying in its traditional, flat form, this motif now flows with natural movement and grace — just like the spirit of the city it...
